This August bank holiday weekend, Cocktails in the City launches for the first time in Glasgow and it's time to get excited.
From cocktails to canapés, charity bars to tasting tables - we've selected six great experiences to enjoy at this celebration of Glasgow's thriving cocktail culture.
1) THE COCKTAILS
From hoptails to barrel-aged Negroni's, guests will find a mix of adventurous, refreshing and sophisticated drinks. Want a sneak preview of the new signature drinks that have been created?
2) BLEND YOUR OWN WHISKY WITH CHIVAS
Create your own bespoke 200ml bottle of whisky under the expert guidance of whisky experts Chivas Regal. Taste and learn the difference between whisky styles and regions before blending up your own bottle. The perfect gift or something to keep for yourself.
3) CREATE COCKTAILS AT HOME WITH TIPPLEBOX
Sit down with friends for an intimate and tutored cocktail session with Tipplebox, the UK's leading take home cocktail delivery kit.
Shake up your own bespoke Edinburgh Gin cocktail and take home the box worth £25 and a £10 voucher to join the cocktail club.
4) THE STAND EXPERIENCES
All the bars are competing for your vote for the best in-show experience. From Daiquiri fountains to retro nintendo games, which stand will get your vote? Previous shows have seen games of skill and chance
5) THE FOOD
It's all about a balanced diet. That's why we are working with two of the best in their respective fields. The award winning meat specialists Porter and Rye will be serving up an indulgent mix of aged steak burgers and mac and cheese whilst Prep Fitness Kitchen will be serving up a selection of salads and wraps for the healthier minded imbiber.
6) HEART CHARITY BAR
Heart Radio have teamed up with Glasgow hotspot The Spiritualist and Snow Leopard Vodka to create a charity cocktail bar at CITC Glasgow. All monies spent on this bar goes directly to Global's Make Some Noise Campaign - supporting small charities across the UK who are doing something amazing for the lives of youngsters and their families living with disability or illness.
