Want to check out Manchester's hottest new bar openings all under one roof? You can at Cocktails in the City on November 2nd and 3rd, twenty-five bars over two floors at New Century Hall.

At Cocktails in the City we are all about the cocktails and so we were delighted to find Jon Kloman behind the bar, one of the city's most inventive bartenders working with products, tastes and flavours designed to complement the exquisite cuisine being created by the kitchen.

40ml Gin Mare, 10ml Rosemary ratafia, 5ml suze, 25 charcoal red pepper cordial*, 15 Lemon.
This drink is the perfect example of bar and kitchen working together with the bar using the ovens to create the red pepper cordial served with squid ink meringue and a rosemary salt rim and basil & olive distillate spray
The mega trend in recent years is the combination of pseudo-sporting activities whilst enjoying a finely made cocktail with friends. Junk Yard Golf nailed it in Manchester, All Star Lanes could be considered the originators and now there is a new kid on the block - Flight Club.
The world's first social darts venue launched in 2015 has seen over 500,000 guests throw over 43,000,000 darts and they are coming to Manchester next week! At Cocktail in the City you will be able to step up to the oche and throw a few whilst literally enjoying the taste of sweet success:

Scandi cool has been in vogue for a while now - minimalist styles, clean lines and all that jazz. With a drinks list put together by Adam Keeligan you can expect quality drinks served up with a little fun and our insiders top tip is that if you are looking for somewhere cool to host a business catch up ask them about the private dining area downstairs.
Serving up drinks inspired by the Nordics love of the sauna they have recruited Koskenkorva "Sauna Barrel" Vodka! Intrigued - you should be and we expect to see them in their dressing gowns dishing up fine cocktails throughout the show - check them out.

Inspired by the classic nordic Diam bar made famous by the good people of Ikea this is the liquid and alcoholic version.
School for Scandal
With some sexy design touches, lush banquettes and expansive terrace this multifaceted venue works is a welcome addition to the First Street area. Sean Mcguirk behind the bar creates drinks around the world and seemingly simple drinks often have a lot of back of house preparation gone into it and this is very true of the drinks for CITC.

Word on the street is that these slick operators might be creating an alpine ski chalet experience at Cocktails in the City this November.
